Located at the heart of the Jura forest, les Grottes des Moidons were discovered in 1966. A true

natural work of art, they have been open to the public since 1989. The 45-minute guided tour takes you into a captivating world that sparkles with beauty. Then comes a moment of amazement as the most spectacular stalactites in Jura show off their beauty with the sound and light show that concludes visit.

The site also offers discovery footpaths to explore the countryside with explanatory boards, a picnic area, a play area, a visitor centre, a bar and a souvenir shop.

Opening times in April and May:

2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (guided tours at 2:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.)

Closed on Wednesdays.

Opening times in June:

10 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (guided tours at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and 4:15p.m.),

Closed on Wednesdays between 1st and 15th June.

Opening times in  July and August :

 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  (guided tours every 25 minutes),

Opening times in  September:

10 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (guided tours at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and 4:15p.m.),

Closed in the mornings and on Wednesdays between 15th and 30th September.

Closed 1st October 2011 to 31st March 2012
